Our Caramelised Onion is handmade by slowly simmering sliced onion with brown sugar, a mix of balsamic and red wine vinegar, fresh garlic, mustard, herbs and spices. Sweet and sticky it is perfect as a burger topping and so much more! Here are five other ways to enjoy our Caramelised Onion;
1.With Eggs – mix them through frittata, quiche, tarts. They will also work as a topping for scrambled eggs or in an omelette.
2. Dips –chop the caramelized onions then mix through sour cream or Greek Yoghurt. Mix with hummus for a yummy sandwich spread.
3. Pizza – use your favourite toppings then add the caramelized onions. Perfect with goats cheese or mozzarella.
4. Cheeseboard – serve with crackers and cheese or on crusty bread.
5.Pastas / Soups – A small amount of caramelised onion stirred through pastas / soups will add deeper flavour.
